Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 30, 2011 10:39 am Hi, can anyone recommend a nice 2 person spa bath for my ensuite (photos would be great too!) I'm happy for it to be an inbuilt or freestanding, and I have brochures on the Stylus President and His and Hers spa baths, but wonder what else is out there. I think oval or rectangle would suit the ensuite. Many thanks. Re: 2 Person Spa Bath 2Aug 30, 2011 12:01 pm Can't recommend a bath but make sure your hot water service is big enough. When we had a big spa we finished up boiling water on the stove and adding it. Not very safe! The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: 2 Person Spa Bath 3Sep 02, 2011 9:38 am We installed a Multiform flat bottom triangular spa bath so it could be used with a shower over it too (approx 4 years ago). http://www.novetec.com.au/collection.asp?rangeID=5 However, water is so scarce in Perth we feel guilty about filling it... probably only use it as a spa bath once or twice a year. Everyone has different priorities when building/renovating but a good spa/bath is very important to me. http://www.decina.com.au/OurProducts/Sa ... aiSpa.aspx I found getting the right spa a really tough decision in our last build. Without actually filling it up and having a soak, how do you know how good it will be? I think unless we find something else really spectacular we will be putting the same one in our current build. The jets on your back are set off centre so you can sit side by side comfortably with the jet in the middle of your back. Good luck, hope this helps. Re: 2 Person Spa Bath 5Oct 03, 2011 6:25 pm Can't stress the hot water service issue enough! I saw a bath when I was in NYC that had a 32mm outlet so it could fill it up quickly so the water in it wouldn't cool down too much. This is sometimes overlooked also. These baths look like they could hold 2 people easily - http://www.formed.com.au/collections/free-standing-baths Looks like they can do custom sizing. Re: 2 Person Spa Bath 6Oct 03, 2011 6:49 pm We had a 2 person corner spa (can't remember brand or model) and we loved it initially. Then after a few months the novelty waned and it then only got used once a month. As others have said, be sure your hot water system is up to it. Our spa took around 220 litres of water, but our hot water system was only 250 litres. Throw in so dish washing and kids in the shower and we always ran out of water. If you do get one, make sure you get one that has a built in water heater as they do tend to go cold quite quick. 3 3554 Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
