The tiler said that he thinks it would be better to tile the full wall, then for the cabinet maker to attach the vanity over the tiles. This option would appeal to me, as if I get tired of the vanity, all I would have to do, is remove the vanity and install another one. Our cabinet maker is not happy to do this, saying that he wants the tiles coming up to the edge of the vanity; he said that the tiles (10 mm porcelain) could crack when installing the vanity.
