Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 24, 2011 7:14 pm Heh Guys, I went into a plumbing place the other day & asked about glass square basin Mixers & the lady said that they were in 2 years ago & hasn't sold many of late...do you think these taps will date??? or classed as "yesterdays" mixers....just wanting opinions http://www.factoryfast.com.au/p/wels-waterfall-basin-mixer-tap-faucet-kitchen-bathroom-sink-5/ http://www.factoryfast.com.au/p/wels-basin-mixer-tap-faucet-kitchen-laundry-bathroom-sink-7/ or will a classic tap be your choice. This will go ina standard vanity so wanted to dress it up a bit....I also have a freestanding bath in the room as well Re: choice of taps ..opinions please 2Jul 24, 2011 7:25 pm Sounds like she is allowing her personal opinion to get in the way of a good sale. If you like that taps, buy them!! Personally I was considering taps similar to the glass one, but as I was having glass vessel basins they weren't tall enough unless the basins were recessed and this wasn't the look I was wanting. The tap I chose was similar to the second one you posted, but instead is round and taller and (imho) looks perfect with the glass basins. Some people have turned their noses up at my choices, but I really don't care because they don't have to live here. Everything will date, there is no such thing as timeless!! Good luck with your selections....that glass tap would be really nice with the right basin. choice of taps ..opinions please 3Jul 24, 2011 8:30 pm I agree with Happy.. Go with want you want. But if the main purpose of your house is to make it something that you love then you should buy whatever taps your heart desires!
