Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 04, 2011 12:48 pm Hi everyone, We currently have an old built-in shower/ bath unit in our bathroom. We live in an older ex-army home. When we do start renovating I think this unit will look out of place and so we are considering having it removed. But, in terms of a new shower/ bath (which is what we will need) are there only two options of keeping the water inside with these type of set ups? I.e. shower curtain or one unmoveable glass sheet? We currently have a shower curtain which I dont really like but Im not fussed on the solid glass sheeting either. It makes it difficult to bath the kids. Any other options? Thanks Re: Shower/ bath combo options for keeping water in 2Aug 18, 2011 12:23 am Hi Hanes, I guess your options are limited. It's either rigid, or not. There's not much in between. However, I have seen a solid shower screen being mounted on hinges on the wall, and a rubber seal underneath. When not in use it was neatly folded against the wall at the short end of the bath tub, and when needed it was folded out to be sitting on top of the long side of the bath tub (half length only) and preventing the water from splashing out. Not sure if this is something that could work for you.
