Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 13, 2011 7:59 pm Do you like your tiling done in a particular way? Do you prefer for them to tile the bath hob first so to make sure there are no tiles being cut at the exposed corner of the bath? Do you prefer whole (uncut) tiles to be at the top or bottom? In the dropped shower base or everywhere else? Do you prefer whole tiles at the doorway or towards the vanity? Or do you not care? Our tiler suggested that for our vanity splashbacks. We had the tiles on each end cut to match so we had a symmetrical look - the other option to retain symmetry, would be to cut the tile in the middle narrower and have whole tiles on the ends. He basically started in the middle of the wall both width and height. So tiles on the top and bottom are the same size vertically and tiles left and right are the same horizontally. Nice and symetrical You might be able to tell from the ensuite photo I put up? Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! With your Tiler working from the centre (both vertically and horizontally) outwards, how did this fit in with the shower niche? Or did he do the niche so it's also symmetrical but the joins don't line up with the rest of the shower tiling? No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11589 I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15284 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this?
