Has anyone heard of problems with instantanious gas hot water systems and hand held showers or water saving water heads? I have heard there can be a problem with fluctuation in temperature and pressure problems thanks On the road to building our 1st home Re: shower heads 2Jan 15, 2008 2:03 pm I had an instantaneous hot water system (Rinnai) and hand held shower heads in my last home. I don't know whether it was the HWS or the fact that the estate was new (and perhaps higher water pressure until everyone is connected), but each head would only last about 6 months from high water pressure.
There were no real issues with fluctuations and initially there was concern the HWS might not supply enough pressure because of the instantaneous nature. Re: shower heads 5Jan 16, 2008 6:24 am Yak_Chat No issues here - I have instant gas HWS at present and low flow shower head and it all works fine. Steve Yep. Ditto. I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
