Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 07, 2011 1:03 pm Hi there, I am building a second bathroom/laundry on to my house and have had various plumbers all telling me something different. I have basically closed in my carport and outside laundry for the reno's. The new bathroom has a toilet and bath and I need to connect this to the existing sewer. My question is, can I place the vent stack directly up and off the 90 o bend from the toilet pipe, from the bowl and outside the wall, or do i need to connect it after that but before the s-trap going to the bath? that will then connect into my existing sewer line. or could i put a AAV just on top instead of a long pipe? cheers Re: Toilet vent stacks 2Jun 18, 2011 7:37 pm can you draw me a floor plan and draw in the sewer lines and i might be able to help. plumbing codes states that a vent is not required as long as it is no more then 10m from the main drain. picture will help me explain and give you an answer How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5936 Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products.
