Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 29, 2011 8:37 pm we installed one, and 4 days after we moved in and 2 baths later we had a small split on the 'seam' where the base meets the sides....but on a corner. it is raised and looks like a small crack, but doesnt go right through, just the skin of the bath we can still use it, water doesnt leak out of it RF also has a crack in her uno bath, does anyone else? clearlite recon we had a tile fall on it...cos that is what we do when we have a bath, play with tiles and a rubber duck. I mean, please! it happened after we had used it, not before. Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 2May 29, 2011 9:10 pm The description of your bath is the same as ours. Will stick up a picture tomorrow. We have a Decina rep (well an agency that wholesales Decina) coming on the 7th or 8th of July to have a look. It would be great if there were a few of us to bring the same complaint to him. Pics would also be helpful The location sounds exactly the same for both Kiwi and ours. Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 4May 29, 2011 9:16 pm DH first saw it when he was cleaning the bath (yes he cleans) and thought it was a line of our "fabulous" red dirt. And ours didn't have a crack/split when we moved in. RF Build: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=34534 Flooring: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=39733 Chat: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=53303 Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 5May 29, 2011 9:23 pm SAME wasnt there when we moved in or I would have noticed and gone spaz. it was within the first week though and rang builder when I found it. He is on to their case, said he will take them to court if they dont pull didgit. I dont want it replaced, just mended as our tiling is so nice, I dont want it wrecked. same thing could happen with a new bath again, would rather this one, but looking like new. Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 6May 30, 2011 12:00 am that is rough. i was looking at that bath at one point! I wonder if it is a design fault or a weak point in the bath. Would be interesting. Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 7May 30, 2011 6:57 am a weak point I think, as there is no support under it and if you put a foot (or an ar se) there..it splits. but NO ONE TOLD US THAT! the support is a bit further down (ie wood where the frame is) will take a pic today Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 8May 30, 2011 7:50 am Ours "should" have a bit of support as there is a concrete slurry underneath. Wonder whether the lido version of the bath does it at both ends then???? RF Build: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=34534 Flooring: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=39733 Chat: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=53303 Re: UNO baths. Anyone have any cracks appear in them? 11May 30, 2011 7:41 pm Give me half hour to get the photos uploaded. Its a PITA because so many photos on the camera. And yes, same position in my bath but a bit longer and easier to see because the red dirt has stained it. Had to dust our bath first before taking pics...because it has been sitting unused since we found the split.
