Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 10, 2011 10:09 am We have recently had our house renovated. In the bathroom we used a dark charcoal floor tile. Already i have noticed there is this white mark on a number of the tiles. I have tried cleaning them with water and the stain remains. I haven't used any proper cleaning agent yet. But i am just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and what they did about it. Re: anyone had problems with dark floor tiles staining 2May 11, 2011 8:10 pm I had whitish marks on our dark tiles. It took me a while to get to them as I still had tradies coming and going. When I finally did I couldn't get it off. I tried creme cleanser, Ajax, Turps. Finally I tried a product called goof off which I had in the cupboard with a wet scourer and it worked. I think the stuff might have been tile adhesive. Hope that helps.
