Not sure what your budget is but something like this. Re: I need MAJOR help with my tile choices 5May 06, 2011 10:07 pm I have matched the iron ore next to the tile I suggested and I really like it. Re: I need MAJOR help with my tile choices 6May 06, 2011 10:14 pm thanks for giving me somewhere to start looking, i have been searching tile places all night but not much luck. Something like that but in black/grey/white. We are having grey, black and white theme through the house with a red splashback in the kitchen, we wanted that 'fresh' feel rather than the popular 'warm' theme. You are on the right track to what im after Im even thinking the rockface tiles for a feature wall in the ensuite (and possibly main bathroom) Our Acreage Build The Lakeview Lodge - Beechwood Homes 01/04/10 YES 2010 - Deposit paid 23/09 - PCI CANCELLED 28/09 - PCI - will it happen.-18 months later 07/10/11 - ITS OURS..WOOHOO Re: I need MAJOR help with my tile choices 7May 06, 2011 10:21 pm Are the tiles for the whole house or just the wet areas you are stuck with? Yes I now see what you want which has helped out hugely but I cannot find anything online as far as my searches go. I know the look you want. The rockface tiles are very nice. Re: I need MAJOR help with my tile choices 19May 15, 2011 11:29 am Hi acrebuild Have you got any further in finding the right tile? I just read your blog &, working for a tile business, I had some ideas!. I think if you are after a marble look, perhaps with a bit of texturing as a feature wall & in cooler tones to go with your other finishes, you could achieve all of these using a full bodied porcelain tile which has a bit of pattern to look like natural stone. You could use a 300 on the floor with a 300x600 on the wall. If you like a marble look you might go for the polished finish (some will need sealing but this is effective) and there are a number of colour options that would co-ordinate with your bench/cabinetry. If you like the idea of black, you could consider using the black on the floor and a lighter off white/grey on the walls so as to keep the space light (or the lighter tile on both floor & wall to make the space look bigger). Then if your lighting is good enough you could add drama with a textured darker feature wall (perhaps behind the vanity). Anyway - just some ideas. If you have a swatch of your other finishes, I suggest you visit Lindsay at our Amber Maitland store and you could have a play around to see how it all works together! Hope this helps & hope you achieve your dream bathroom!! Looking for advice on whether this variation in tile colour is acceptable.
