When I opened the door into the room, I'd feel like I was walking into the vanity with both of them. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 3Apr 28, 2011 10:28 pm Plan 1, provided the bath is centered to that right hand wall. Gives the toily a bit more privacy. Is there a window in that right wall? "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Currently scaping the land. Is there a window in that right wall? Yep - window will be on the right hand side of the drawing.... Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 5Apr 28, 2011 10:36 pm I'm with donuts too-out of these two plans! I've just commented about toilet position on the design thread! They look a little too crowded with the doors opening straight onto the vanities. What about having a normal inset bath which can be placed hard up against a wall making more room. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 7Apr 28, 2011 10:40 pm kyton What about having a normal inset bath which can be placed hard up against a wall making more room. sorry - we really really really want a stand alone bath/spa..... that is one thing I am not changing my mind with no matter what the cost! LOL..... We are not having tiles anywhere in the house if we can help it.. possibly polish concrete for wet areas and floorboards......elsewhere.... Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 8Apr 28, 2011 10:44 pm Have you looked at the D shaped bath? It should be on the Reece site..it has a flat back so it can be hard up against the wall but the front of it is curved like a freestanding one... Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ Which bathroom layout do you like? 9Apr 28, 2011 10:46 pm It just doesn't look like there is enough room for everything. We have a freestanding spa but our ensuite is around 4.5m by 4m ish. Personally I think you need more room - or place it hard up against a wall. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 10Apr 28, 2011 10:49 pm I actually see more problems with plan 1. Do you have kids? The reason I ask is this... if the door was closed and someone was at the vanity brushing teeth or getting something out of the cupboard closest to the wall and someone came barging in.... the door smacking into whoever is at the vanity is going to hurt! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 12Apr 28, 2011 10:56 pm how about have the door like #2 & put the bath under the window like #1 Vanity like #2 but on opposite wall Toilet where shower is in #1 but have the cistern on the same wall as vanity and put a wall at the bottom so not visible from doorway. Shower where vanity is in #2 Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 15Apr 28, 2011 11:21 pm http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j132/MEV09/bathroom.png Something like that, Shower probably with more glass less splatter but that way you see through it to the bath which really is the feature of the room. Just a thought Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 16Apr 29, 2011 12:07 am Hi, I have similar problem like you. My idea is to have walk in shower. http://www.pics9.com/images/19670448616747256990.jpg Ela Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 17Apr 29, 2011 12:15 am arasugp83 Hi, I have similar problem like you. Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 18Apr 29, 2011 12:21 am Plan 1 - walk straight into the vanities. Probably not a good idea. Plan 3 - its ok but nothing is symmetrical in here Plan 4 - Shower are is right at the entry. Last thing you want is the area to be wet when u enter the bathroom. Dont want to slip because of wet areas right at the entry. Plan2 - Like the best of all the 4. 26/2 - Sales 23/3 - Colours 31/3 - Tender 14/4 - Contract 7/5 - Taps 12/6 - Site start 15/6 - Slab 27/6 - Frame 1/8 - Lockup/Fixing 29/9 - PCI 25/10 - Handover Re: Which bathroom layout do you like? 20Apr 29, 2011 3:34 am None, sorry, I don't like toilets in bathrooms, is there no way you can get it out, give you room to showcase a big gorgeous bath? my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Possibly both depending on the sizing.
