Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 27, 2011 1:58 pm Arrrggghhh, I hate trying to make decisions. Need to decide on mixers ASAP. Will at least need 2, on for each bathroom and possibly a 3rd for the bath. Would like a good quality but don't to spend the earth at the same time. Any thoughts out there? Lady from Reece leans towards Ideal Standard. Re: Need to decide on shower mixers urgently 3Apr 27, 2011 2:04 pm Problem Number 1 - I tend to like the square look, hubby likes the rounded look. We have made very few decisions yet but I believe the basins and bath will be a square look so I'm leaning that way. Most brands seem to come with a rounded or sqaure look option from what I've found. Re: Need to decide on shower mixers urgently 5Apr 27, 2011 6:26 pm An option, albeit pricy, would be to use Hansgrohe (or similar from Grohe) iBox, which has the mixer mechanism separate from the external, so you get it installed first, then have the external portion installed later. Re: Need to decide on shower mixers urgently 6Apr 28, 2011 11:24 am We have a similar situation where I like square, but the compromise is looking like the 'Arc' range from Dorf.. mixer tap, shower mixer and bath/basin wall mixer... http://www.dorf.com.au/product-ranges/m ... asin-mixer Dont know if they are popular or not but they look nice Re: Need to decide on shower mixers urgently 7Apr 28, 2011 1:15 pm PHL, thanks for that suggestion...problem is no one seems to have Grohe around here so I have found out. The shops say the rep doesn't come here....joys of living a few hours north of the big smoke... so unless you order sight unseen or have the time to travel, Grohe is out. SBOB, I don't mind the look of those either. Very nice. Hubby is taking some flex this arvo so we are off to make the final decision even though will probably not end up with what we like Re: Need to decide on shower mixers urgently 8Apr 28, 2011 8:06 pm Well decision made today. We grabbed some shower mixers and matching basin mixers at Reece. The sales lady was very for Ideal Standards and by looking for something on her computer, stumbled across some that have been liquidated that they still had supplies left of in their warehouse. These mixers were originally over $300 but we got them for $135 and basin mixers to match for $99. I have since found a link on their website. If you scroll down to Taps they are IDS Moments Basin Mixer and Bath/Shower mixer. http://www.reece.com.au/onsite/products ... ance_stock . Hope it's ok to put a link here otherwise look for clearance stock on the reece website. I thought this would be a popular question but I haven't been able to find any similar posts. Perhaps I'm wording my searches wrong?
