As for the linen closet, I'm not sure what your dimensions are like, but if you moved the laundry door and bathroom door north slightly, you could fit cupboards along the south wall... and if you do have space to do that, you could also put a double vanity in the bathroom (if that's the busy one!) Thanks - the only thing we're debating is whether its nice to look at the door from the dining room. The larger kitchen area is certainly the winner in all discussions ! FYI -the width of the 2 rooms combined is only 2.15 and length is 3.9 so the only way to get the linen cupboard was length-wise. We are upgrading the 600 mm vanity for a 900 - a double is an overkill as we have doubles in the main and ensuite upstairs. By busy I meant its "nearly always occupied" Re: Help on deciding: separate or combined shower/laundry 23Apr 15, 2011 10:15 am I definitely prefer the current one, mostly because, I just hate having a toilet in a bathroom. also just about your front loader, Im not sure if ithis info is correct or not, but before I got my front loader and was researching my choices of brands etc the information about frontloaders was to never ever use fabric softener in your front loader.I cant remember exactly why now as it was a few years ago, but I was reassured there was some reason for it like maybe damaging or blocking the pipes or something like that, but cant be entirely sure what the reason was now. Also do you do a hot water cyle with your machine every so often, with no clothes or powder added, just hot water to give it a clean[vinegar would be okay with this too].And always leave the door open too to air it out. Re: Help on deciding: separate or combined shower/laundry 24Apr 16, 2011 9:22 am Yeah i`d stick with the current version myself,i`d just replace the laundry door with a CSD to keep the space behind the door that you would lose with the door open. Its a good spot to put a broom cupboard or a rack etc. Thank you so much for your response. I have drawn a pedestrian gate in - for curb appeal, let's see how much costs come in at.
