We are thinking of doing this but have not seen many examples of it done. Does anyone have any photos of baths with mosaics? Any comments/feedback appreciated. Hi kb46 I mean something like this... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Uploaded with ImageShack.us with either 100 x 300 tiles or smaller mosaic tiles surrounding the bath... This is the mosaic we have chosen to use in the shower niche (horizontal)... We didn't use mosaics though, we used a large tile that was scored for grouting so it just looks like mosaics. This was my inspiration bathroom (from a Beaumont shop display) but I couldn't justify the cost to use the travertine mosaics they used ($300 per sq.m). Our bathroom ended up looking very similar so I'm pleased with our budget result. Re: Bath tiled with mosaic 5Feb 10, 2011 12:03 pm Sounds great. Just dont overdo it everywhere else. I actually think it is a style thats catching on. Have seen it a few places now. Thanks Mel Yes I can see you scrubbing the grout lines with a fine toothbrush in the next couple of years Re: Bath tiled with mosaic 7Mar 04, 2011 1:59 pm We are contemplating doing the same thing with a wall tile which has horizontal lines. It's hard to imagine how it would look, the pics help. Anyone got any more? Melc500 did you make a decision on where to place the mosaics? Re: Bath tiled with mosaic 8Mar 04, 2011 3:41 pm In our design we would tend to tile the face of the bath and the wall behind it. If it is a strong colour in comparison to your wall tile you may find that on the bath face only may tend to draw the eye down. Alot of designs we will find a floor tile that has a matching wall but in a different format. So the eye is also drawn to the change in size/shape of the tile but the colour stays the same. Just a few thoughts. No, I even have sections of narrowness where the tiles won't slide up any further. We ended going with the terrain that’s part of our brick. 2 2471 Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
