Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 28, 2011 10:40 am What do you think of mirrors that go all the way to the ceiling? Do you think they look good or over the top? I haven't been able to find any display homes with mirrors all the way to the ceiling and would love if anyone has photos to share. Also, do you think it would look silly to have a cornice over the mirror or for the mirror to end just below the cornice? What do you think of full lenght mirrors? 2Feb 28, 2011 10:50 am For where? If you mean in bathrooms then ours are all stopping well short of the cornices. IMO it would look terrible going over the top of a cornice. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: What do you think of full lenght mirrors? 3Feb 28, 2011 10:55 am I don't think they need to go any higher than level with the top of the shower screen. I do like them to come right down to the vanity unit, effectively being the splashback. I would only consider going to the cornice height if the bathroom was really small or it was reflecting a really fabulous outlook like an ocean view or a gorgeous garden. Re: What do you think of full lenght mirrors? 4Feb 28, 2011 11:04 am Ours stop well short of the cornice too. I wouldn't like to stand on the basin/vanity everytime I cleaned the mirror.... I also have lights above my mirrors on the wall. There would be nowhere to put these if the mirrors went all the way to the ceiling. Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!!
