So much work to do and timeline has already been pushed back!!! Still To Do - security system, security screens, tree removal (cocus palms), internal works, lighting, ensuite. Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 3Feb 27, 2011 8:50 am Zarli How long do you plan to spend on this toilet My first thought as well LOL! The only toilets I can remember thinking were uncomfortable are the stainless steel ones they sometimes have in parks in the middle of winter! Re: Comfortable toilets??? The first thing I thought of when you said that was the Jackass movie! Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 5Feb 27, 2011 1:48 pm I know what you mean, Bella! My parents got a new toilet that looks very sleek and modern but is so uncomfortable. The seat is too curved and narrow, the hole in the middle seems huge. My kids nearly fall through whenever they use it. I can't recommend a particular toilet, only suggest you look for something with a flatter, wider seat (hopefully you can get a modern look with a comfortable seat). That'll be my criteria when I'm at the point of choosing a toilet (for now I just glance at them and am glad I'm not at the point of having to sit on various toilets in a showroom). Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 6Feb 27, 2011 10:08 pm LOL guys Not planning to spent too long on it..... BUT - just got the down stairs bathroom done and the toilet we had selected for there and the ensuite were picked because the space is small and it is a narrow projection... never even thought about comfort when buying, but just used it for the first time and it looks great and is all nice and modern but it is seriously uncomfortable.... I think the seat is too curved and not flat enough or something? Anyway so now we are picking the toilet for the main bathroom where there is lots of space and didn't want to make the same mistake with comfort so looked at a few others in Reece (so embarrassing) and all the ones I liked the look of are so uncomfortable! Any suggestions??? 9Feb 28, 2011 4:08 pm I was wondering about this as well. We have 2 toilets currently and one of them is really uncomfortable. Other then going around and sitting on a bunch of loo's I am not sure how to find a better one lol Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 10Feb 28, 2011 4:13 pm My sister has expensive modern toilets, but they have what I guess is ceramic seats (may be porcelan, not sure, but they aren't plastic anyway), but they are sooooo cold to sit on in winter. Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 11Mar 04, 2011 10:51 am I guess you've just gotta test drive them. Embarrassing but a comfy toilet is a good thing. Mine are way too tall, plus they're set on an inch of cement above the floor. Not practical, not comfy. Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 12Mar 07, 2011 12:23 am lol funny question but so serious. a motel we stayed at recently had the suspended loos omg how pretty but omg how uncomfortable every time you sat down they moved i had to be so quick cause i thought they were going to break away and id be on floor laying literally in crap lol stay safe happy building Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 13Mar 07, 2011 3:15 am bella13 Tried a few toilets out in Reece, but they weren't that comfortable - anyone found a really comfy toilet??? At the end of the day comfort is a personal thing. What someone else thinks is comfortable may well be uncomfortable to you. So the only thing to do is shop around and sit on a few more until you find one that is comfortable to you. Re: Comfortable toilets??? Any suggestions??? 14Mar 11, 2011 7:50 am I can totally agree with this topic!!! We are beginning our journey of building a new home and a COMFORTABLE toilet is one of the top points on my list!!! I guess I have a pretty valid reason though - I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 16 and I spend a fair bit of time in the loo.... We currently have a bog-stock builders-type toilet in our current home (you know, the plastic lid/seat kinda model) and I have to say it is the most hirrid thing I have ever had the DIS-pleasure of utalising! For our new house, I am on the search for a full porcelin/china model with an ergonomic seat. My physio/pilates studio has one and it is HEAVEN!!!! That being said, it's each to their own when it comes to loos and the only way to find the right one is to "try" them all out. It probably feels/looks stupid to you but I'm sure the sales-people see it a hundred times a day. At the end of it, you are forking over cold hard cash for an item that you will be using many times a day probably for many years so make sure YOU like it!!! That's my 2c Watch out!!! I'm a crazy Scots-Woman!!! This is the current bathroom with a european laundry. Overall internal dimensions are 3.69 wide and 3.65m deep, including the footprint of the laundry. There is a toilet… 0 10344 Hi, Looking to add an ensuite to one of the bedrooms and make it a Master BR. Please see the attached current floorplan.
