Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 25, 2011 1:09 pm Under the original plans for our ensuite, there are 2 windows centralised to the ensuite and the intention was to centralise the bath to the windows. However, the ensuite has been extended on the left ie the 2 bathroom windows are now "skewed" to the right. The width of each window is 970mm and the space between the windows is 290mm ie a distance of 2230mm from window to window. The length of the wall to the right of the right window is negligible, but the length of the wall to the left of the left window is approx 500mm ie a total distance of 2730mm. The length of the bath is 1745mm which means that if the bath were to be centralised to the windows: 1) there is only 242.5mm to the right of the bath, and 2) there is 742.5mm to the left of the bath Am a keen for symmetry and am keen to know if it is better to still centralise the bath to the windows (more symmetrical?) or centralise the bath to the ensuite (where the bath hob will be be uniform on both ends). Has any one experienced a similar situation before or views? Thanks in advance! Re: Bath position - centralise to window? Or room? 3Feb 25, 2011 6:27 pm kyton Can you make your windows more symmetrical? It would drive me bonkers having them more one side then the other. Alas, no. They windows can't be moved hence the dilemma. Am currently more inclined to centralise it to the window and live with the left side being more than the right - logic being that the mixer, spout and towel rail will all be located to the left Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included. My hesitation… 0 24692 2 4496 You need to reference the manufactures installation guide, your supplier may have strengthened the base where it is not required to sit on a bed. 1 1825 |
