Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 17, 2011 8:43 am Hi everyone, I just wanted to see if what I was quoted is reasonable. I am getting my 1.8x2.4 bathroom and 1.8x0.9 separate toilet tiled on the floor. Wall tiles which are currently 1.8 high are to be resprayed and the bathtub is to be resprayed. Total quote is $3,000 which includes the supply of the tiles, paint, grout etc. Re: Tile spraying/Laying cost 2Feb 19, 2011 9:12 pm Hi we recently had our shower retiled. Cost us $550 which included removing the shower, removing the old tiles, replace plaster board, coat with waterproof membrane, retile & grout then replace the shower. We supplied the tiles and plasterboard. Took the tiler about 5 hours over a 3 day period. Hope this helps. Shower is standard shower size and tiles went to top of shower (ie not full length of wall) - I think 2mtrs? The tiler only supplied labour, membrane & grout. We supplied tiles and plasterboard. We obtained 2 quotes, and both were similar pricing. I guess we had extra work due to having to remove the shower screen & refit. Don't know what the going rate for tiling is, maybe others can contribute. But, this was our expereince. Hope it helps. Cheers. I'm about to put down some Merbau.
