Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 15, 2011 9:42 pm Hi All, My builder has just installed a dorf flick mixer in my shower. I just went to have a shower and the side that's meant to be cold, hot water comes out and vice versa. Is he going to have to knock out the tiles and plaster to get behind it and change the pipes around? Re: to anyone who has installed flick mixers! 2Jan 15, 2011 9:43 pm more than likely yes... unless they can access the pipes via the roof if those pipes only service the shower. If they did this it will take about half hr to fix. If it went via the walls they will have to cut the tiles out OR if there is only plaster wall on the other side they can cut the plaster and fix it from behind. Had to do this last week apprentice did the same thing. Lucky a rule of ours is everything must dropp straight down from the roof. good luck. but make them fix it Re: to anyone who has installed flick mixers! 10Jan 17, 2011 9:13 pm you are right. most even have a H on the left side and a C on the right.... The unit normally clips into a metal plate screwed to the wall, either plate is not flush, or unit not hooked in and could be hanging from the pipes partly, either might… 2 12579 Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 7449 I would suggest get legal representation.
