Or do you have a bulkhead on that wall? Also, is the mirror also a splashback or is it tiles or glass? They are used as splash backs and are generally stop about 1.8m from the floor. Most of the actual splashes are about 4-500mm from the top of the vanity 9generally tootpaste splashes. We don't bother with any special lighting we just use the central fitting as the mirror is so big you can just step a bit to one side or the other to get good light on that side of your face.
