I don't think so you can pull it out without breaking few tiles as silicone would have a good grip besides there is little to do with US plumbing standards and our own. You can try if it break then fix it. Re: Removing bathtub 5Nov 27, 2010 11:44 am Hi. We've recently, like a fortnight ago, pulled out our old Bathtub of the style you are discussing and replaced it with a new, deeper, model. Before beginning we went to Bunnings, had a look at the Baths, Outlets and P-Traps (The Plumbing fitting between the Outlet and the "inground" Pipes) and worked out how it all fitted together before we began. I'm pretty sure unscrewing it from the inside wouldn't have been possible but I'd advise going down as we did and having a look at how it goes together before you begin. Thanks. Re: Removing bathtub 6Nov 28, 2010 6:50 pm You will need to punch a hole in the side of the brickwork nearest the waste and unscrew the fitting from the bath . No way can you do this without getting inside. If you are replacing the bath you will more than likely find that the new bath will not suit the existing brickwork and will have to be redone. I want to see magic in action... Have the same problem with bathtube and don't want to get under the house. Apparently you can break tube with hammer. You need good eye protection and full sleeve clothes, it breakes to small sharp pieces.
