Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Nov 19, 2010 4:00 pm Hi all, approx 2 years ago had a blocked toilet in our 6 month old home, the problem at the time ended up being a kink/ bend in the sewer pipe coming out of the house as the trench dug was not backfilled properly this was quite evident as the 100mm inspection pipe was a big lean from were the connecting pipe had sunk which the plumber noticed straight away. I am now still having problems with both toilets blocking up , the inspection pipe is again on a angle but only slightly. has any one had issues with piping under a concrete slab and if so how was in fixed at the moment i simply fill up all the toilets and baths with water and the pressure seems to unblock it. Can i still ring the builder to inspect is there a 7 years warranty on plumbing? Thanks Dean Re: Toilet 2Nov 30, 2010 9:15 pm Just an update, had a camera inspection done of our sewer pipes and there seems to be 4 joins that have become dislodged under our slab. the builder has agreed to cover all costs with getting these sections/joins relined which is being done on friday Is there likely to be any long term damage to the ground under the house as it has been like this for approx 3 years( water leaking) If i continue to have problems what if any compensation can i or should i claim from the builder is i decide i need to move of the slab has to be worked on ie cut open ? Any help will be great. Re: Toilet 3Dec 01, 2010 8:05 am Kassan Sorry to hear your drama. Not good to have water underneath of your slab, that is why they put some plastic sheets under the slab to stop water vapor. I hope the steelwork that were encased in the concrete were not exposed to water, if yes, they would rust, and continue to rust, since there is no way to dry out the water underneath the slab quickly. Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish. It's worth looking for search terms like SaveH2O… 2 6989 Hey, I am wanting to add a second toilet to my house, bit we have limited room.
