Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 28, 2010 7:42 am Hi Guys, We have a small toilet downstairs that would likely be heavy use as such am tossing up whether to do floor to ceiling tiles, halfway, or skirting only. My concern is that as the toilet is quite small will full tiling make it smaller? Anyone done this with a small bathroom... would be interested in pics or other comments on this. Each to their own really but we've got floor to ceiling in our ensuite and we decided just to do the skirting in the toilet and paint it. Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 3Oct 28, 2010 8:49 am I like floor to ceiling tiling in bathrooms however in a toilet I think it is slightly overkill. We have 4 ensuites and 2 powderrooms - only our main ensuite is tiled to the ceilings, and the toilet which is separate is only tiled skirting height. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 6Oct 29, 2010 8:28 am See, we r all different. Have u got any pics with the floor to ceiling suh Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 10Oct 29, 2010 9:09 am Oh, that does look nice. Now, Im second guessing ours DH will kill me Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 14Oct 29, 2010 9:28 am Oh, I have a wicked mind Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 16Oct 29, 2010 11:08 am Is that just one the one wall tho suh? der, nevermind, my internet is shaped and only 2 of the pics loaded in the post the first time aroung, but they all came up when I replied! Cos that does look good, but in general, I tend to think tiling all walls to the ceiling in a toilet tends to be a little public toilet-y. We're just doing a skirting tile in both ours my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 17Oct 29, 2010 2:34 pm We've got floor to ceiling tiles in both our toilets. They are all white tiles on the walls, and I personally don't think it makes it look smaller as it's the same thing all the way up. Maybe if it was only half height it would look smaller, don't know. As the toilets are next to the bathrooms, figured it may as well be the same Re: Small toilet / powder room - Wall to ceiling or not? 18Oct 29, 2010 8:18 pm suh - looks quit nice... what size tiles have you got there? There is a hallway/entry that is never used, so was thinking this could be an option. Only… 0 4709 Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products.
