Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 11, 2010 7:16 pm Hi all, Does anyone have examples of the vanity being next to a shower bath screen? Am keen to see various options available particularly whether there is any tiled wall. Thanks in advance. Great taste - looking forward to pics! I love the castor cabinets - nice to have flexibility to swap things around, thinking of getting some more made in another colour for the guest room, but to use them as bed side tables... Re: Shower bath screen - next to vanity 7Oct 16, 2010 5:52 pm Hi Ours is yet to be built but we are having a 70cm tiled nib wall between our vanity and shower (same height as the shower door) with the shower door attached to it (shower is 1.6m long) There is recess going in the nib wall in the shower for shampoos etc. I really didn't want glass as I felt it would gather dust etc between the vanity and the glass. I also didn't want glass as it looks lovely when it has first been cleaned but after a shower or two it looks dirty again. I find tiles are much easier to keep clean and you would only see bits that gets dirty if you are in the shower compared to walking in and seeing dirty glass. Hope that helps Donna Re: Shower bath screen - next to vanity 8Oct 17, 2010 10:53 am Hi Pink Tulips, There was a similar thread already... have a look viewtopic.php?f=21&t=35219 I think I would simply have a small gap between vanity and shower screen. A lot of people choosing a nib wall, it's a matter of taste really. 2 4490 Your shower screen has failed in the way it is designed to fail with tempered glass. You could replace it with laminated safety glass but make sure it has AS standards logo on it 1 11164 You need to reference the manufactures installation guide, your supplier may have strengthened the base where it is not required to sit on a bed. 1 1815 |
