Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Powder room 21Sep 20, 2010 9:06 pm Our two powder rooms both have 900mm vanities in them - each with a cupboard and three drawers. Means that they each have their own stash of loo paper, clean towels and cleaning products. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Powder room 22Sep 26, 2010 8:46 pm Suh can you please tell me what your main powder benchtop is? It all looks very pretty. We had an extra long (main) toilet with vanity in it. Personally I hated it, water went everywhere, it was too small to actually wash anything in. I'm going for the external powder room vanity this time. I guess unless you try it you'd never know though? I'm struggling with doors on my plans, mostly the double doors. Thinking of putting in some bifolds (as much as I hate them) for ones that will usually stay open except when heater is on, and some cavity sliders for other painful doors. Oh and you didn't send me that link KA? Re: Powder room 25Sep 26, 2010 9:50 pm Oh no,i've forgotten, which link, sorry Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I'm going for the external powder room vanity this time. It's Laminex Fudge Stream, the bench was made by my kitchen joinery company with a curved edge. I love it Re: Powder room 27Sep 27, 2010 10:07 am The reason i'm STILL on about this basin is "I wont one" the house canbe made to suit but we are on the edge of our building envolope at 30m Have to keep thinking, thanks everyone Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! If you want to save costs, just get your plumbing only done to this room to the wall you want to put your basin, then retrospectively fit your own after. The vanity unit measures 300 deep x 450 wide x 900 high. Having the cupboard is handy for paper and cleaner storeage. Good luck. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31932 http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu350/davdenwa/P1070456.jpg Re: Powder room 29Sep 28, 2010 10:46 am Another great idea thanks, have to sit & work-out the measurements with the door opening allowance etc, cheers Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! A lot of people with mobility issues get their door altered to swing out so that there is more room in the toilet. My Auntie's toilet was like this and didn't seem strange at all. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Powder room 31Oct 02, 2010 9:43 am Oops, sorry, forgot I was going to post a pic here. I thought I had a better one, but I don't. This was before it was cleaned and you can only just see the basin on the side, but you get the idea. We actually had a cavity there and the basin was bricked in so it doesn't jut out too much. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q4/eliz77/DSC02955_0350.jpg Re: Powder room 33Oct 02, 2010 10:26 am MrsGreen That's a fantastic idea above, I like it Me too,every-ones are lovely, but Rizzo yours use's the lack of space really well for our plan Well i hope ,have to have a sqiz & see what can be done Thanks heaps every-one Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper!
