Hi all, we have been told by our builders prestart lady that if we have tiles over the size of 200x200 in the shower floor area, that we have to put a grate in there which will cost around $2000. Now, Im no tiler but I did point out to her that when going to one of their display homes (aswell as many others), they had 300x300 tiles in their showers and you guessed it.......no grate. When telling her this she replied that the display home was fitted out by an interior designer and somehow got passed through but our house will definitely need a grate as they wont allow the tiles to be laid without it.
Is this true.
There is a clause in the addenda saying it is at owners risk if we go bigger in shower and toilet area but says nothing about any grates. I dont want to risk anything and would do it if I really have to but hmmmmmmm
Anyone help?
