Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 26, 2010 2:59 pm We're getting semi-frameless shower screens and my husband really doesn't want a hob at the bottom of the shower. We've been advised we can delete them however the overall height of shower will be approximately 170mm lower (only a problem if over 6 foot apparently). Anyway, my question is: has anyone chosen not to have these hobs and how did it look? We will have three walk in showers, two with doors and the ensuite without. Unfortunately I can't show you what it looks like because it's not in yet! Re: Do you have shower hobs? 3Jul 29, 2010 10:29 pm Hi,love the hobless We have been quoted an extra $2,000 from the builder we were looking at to have the hobless $1,000 extra for the semi frameless screens which i didn't think was bad I think they look "WOW" good luck with your choice, K.A Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! Short term, style wise hobless may "seem" great, but practically I think you will be replacing seals at the bottom of the shower door a lot. For those of you who like style over practicality, they are great:) I would not have hobless. Re: Do you have shower hobs? 5Aug 25, 2010 7:36 pm Do tell Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I'm considering the entire bathroom as a shower for waterproofing purposes. Nice clean look. Demolition August 2009, Construction Started September 2009, Completed December 2010 Thanks mate.
