Re: Bathroom & Ensuite reno, would love your thoughts please 14Feb 16, 2011 4:07 pm Just bumping this one up to ask:- Honeyfly (or anyone else with the same bathroom/toilet configuration as Honeyfly), just wondering whether you got round to doing your bathroom. Would love to see pics! I need inspiration. Re: Bathroom & Ensuite reno, would love your thoughts please 15Feb 19, 2011 8:27 pm inthewoods - we are in the middle of doing our ensuite right now (finally!!). Haven't started on the main bathroom yet. We have bought the tiles for it though. I will certainly update soon, hubby is about to start the tiling and he put a channel tile-insert grate in so it should look pretty good! Can't wait! Re: Bathroom & Ensuite reno, would love your thoughts please 17Mar 10, 2011 8:19 am Hi Warry, Sorry for the late reply I have been away. I think the splashback is Dulux Baby Motive half-strength and the feature wall is the full strength. I hope I have that the right way around! Re: Bathroom & Ensuite reno, would love your thoughts please 18Mar 30, 2011 8:09 pm Hey there, I'm based on the Sunshine Coast too and have recently (well, not so recently now 4yrs, still feels like new though) completed a reno on my bathroom - now looks fabulous. I've also had it treated with EnduroShield to seal the glass as well as Tile & Grout. We don't ever have mould in the grout now where we couldn't get rid of it before. Also our glass always looks like new and is easy to clean. We have a couple of rental units and couldn't afford full bathroom reno's on those but had the glass restored and EnduroShield applied to glass as well as tile and grout. These units are mainly occupied by uni students and transient people so we didn't expect the bathrooms to stay very clean but I must say that when I do my annual inspections there is never any mould and the glass still looks like new! Worth a try to anyone installing a new bathroom. Re: Bathroom & Ensuite reno, would love your thoughts please 19Apr 15, 2011 7:47 am Honeyfly, if you're still out there - I promise this is my last question! What sort of flooring have you put in? It's just stunning! Since you have it in your kitchen and laundry, I'm assuming it's not real wood but please correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck with your bathroom reno and please remember to post pictures for us to drool over! Re: Bathroom & Ensuite reno, would love your thoughts please 20May 15, 2011 6:32 pm Sorry for the late reply: The floors are a real floating timber called Kempas. It has been fine in the laundry with minor spills until we had a washing machine leak while we were away which has damaged some of the floorboards and we need to replace them. So if we had a reliable washing machine and taps it would have been ok! Only negative I would say is that it does show up all the dust and bits of fluff easily and I have to vacuum pretty regularly, which is a good thing with a 1 year old I guess! Bought in Nov 21 at the height of the market (classic). Good area, atrocious floor plan. BUT has land out to the left-hand side that we can extend out on (see second… 0 8785 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11848 |
