It is a cement based shower and has been stripped back and rendered so I dont need fibrous concoctions. i ended up with a bituminous solution which has shower recesses as one of the applications for its use. I must confess however I feel uncomfortable with bituminous applications especially since I have adhesive and tiles to go over the top. The bunnings experts are useless and dont know their own products - everyone I ask says - yes, it is ok for showers but when applied will the tile adhesive stick?
