Hi all
We are tossing up to do up our bathrooms.
Hubbie wants to change the standard taps in the shower to flick mixer. Will this involve major destruction and huge plumber bill or is this a easy job for a plumber. House is ten years old if that makes a difference.
We will be removing all the tiles and retiling.
Also, those of you who have done a bathroom reno could you please confirm the following if we subbie the whole lot out.
Get plumber in to turn off all the water.
Remove all the tiles. (Did i read you could hire something at bunnings which helps in the removal?)
Plasterer in to re do the float.
Apply that water resistant barrier stuff.
Tiler in to do all the tiles.
Cabbie in to do the cabinet.
Plumber in to reconnect the plumbing.
Shower people in to do new screens.
Also has anyone done the free standing bath thing? How did it come up and how did you finish off around it.
Many thanks.
Caz
