What's the minimum height and width without affecting its design purpose? I've also seen where a thin metal, most probably only 2-3cm high is used. It's effectively a metal strip along the foor acting as the hob, thus now you can effectively have different floor heights ie. inside the shower would need a higher height to allow draining.
