Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 26, 2010 8:13 pm Hi everyone, We are looking at a branded showerhead for our new home. While looking for the inclusions we saw a shower head that we liked and a quick search on the internet it was reasonably priced so we went for it. the trouble is we have now discovered the showerheads we saw are shipped from America. The flow rates are the same, same model number etc but the kick in the tail is we can get 3 of these shipped from America, UK or Singapore for $400 or spend $3500 locally. Im all for doing the right thing but thats a rip off (as an aside what could be the justification for that?) So has anyone done this and are there any problems with fitting this to Australian plumbing? thanks in advance. Re: Shower heads from the internet 2Jun 26, 2010 8:20 pm Wow $400 or $3,500! Worse case scenario if the fittings weren't the same you could just get something machined up. I find in most cases that products available outside of Australia are much cheaper than when purchased locally. You can probably get away with keeping the std and change over after handover, but I'm not clued up if US fittings are the same as Aus. Possumchops Now the proud owner of 3.7acres of Serenity.
