Delayed timer for exhaust? 5Aug 20, 2010 5:58 am jimmijamz Also wondering what are people's experiences with delayed timers rather than connecting the exhaust directly to the light switch which also turns the exhaust on and off as the lights turn on and off? we have both and they're excellent. Toilet has light and fan connected to one switch with a timer. After you flick the switch they both turn off after a few mins. Bathroom has separate switches for fan and light but the fan is connected to a timer and stays on for about 10mins after you turn off the switch. We installed them because we'd leave the fans running and forget to go back and turn them off so they'd be on for hours every day for no reason so if you're not good at remembering to turn off the fans then the timers are a great idea.
