Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Bathroom Reno gone terribly bad - please help!!! 22Jun 08, 2010 12:34 pm Hi Guys, thanks to everyone who is showing as much shock as I am .....and i am sorry about those naughty links...not my intention...I dont know how to get an image up as a link and just googled it. Now my comuter is acting funny and hopefully is not a virus from it! The tiles are the same color - same batch but different size. I tried three different types of halogen lamps last night and it still looks the same. The lighting in the images is what the end reult will be. Here's another few images I took last night...sorry about the pop ups! The last image was taken with the LGIHTS OFF! and ony the flash was used so you guys can believe me that it is the same tile. Thankfully I begged the tile company to refund me the unused ones so atleast I will get 500.00 back to put toward another deisgn - any ideas? I have also included a pic of my vanity - propped up at the moment. thanks ! Re: Bathroom Reno gone terribly bad - please help!!! 23Jun 08, 2010 12:36 pm That is truly bizarre! So with no light they are the same colour? I will personally rip the plaster off and get someone else to put it on and then put a spash of white paint over the lot to try and see if I can see things more clearly. I was thinking about just tiling around the wet areas now...to save some money. Do you have any ideas about what might look ok? I was in tears last night...this is the most expensive bathroom reno ever and 3k over! Booohoooooooo Re: Bathroom Reno gone terribly bad - please help!!! 26Jun 08, 2010 2:27 pm psst... try using imageshack or photobucket. There are no nasties there. And do a virus scan on your puter just incase that first site gave you bad things :s You just upload the pics you want and paste the img code in your posts Oceanic with Nautilus upgrades. Handover 8 September 2010 Re: Bathroom Reno gone terribly bad - please help!!! 27Jun 08, 2010 3:27 pm OK, so perhaps the extremely bright halogen lights are hitting the floor tiles only, and the wall tiles barely at all. Are your halogen lights adjustable at all, ie could you angle them to point at the walls more, perhaps? Having said that, I think I'd still have to go the route of changing the wall tiles. Your bathroom doesn't look teeny tiny, but also doesn't seem to be overly huge, so perhaps go with a really light colour for the walls? Perhaps even basic white, to match your sink/bath? I could be biased for those colours, since that's what we've just done, though, heh. But take one of the floor tiles along to the stores and compare tile options against it, so you can get the right shade. And whatever you think might be a good match, get samples and take them back to the space and prop them up against the wall, just to be doubly safe! Good luck having this fixed - it must have been a shock to see them in place. Re: Bathroom Reno gone terribly bad - please help!!! 30Jul 30, 2010 2:24 pm WOW Looks really nice!
