Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 03, 2010 11:40 pm Hi everyone, Just wondering if there is a real need to spend so much on bathroom basins? I see them going for $200-300 easily from most places, and then I look up manufacturer prices from China, and they are around $25/unit. What is the difference between those and the branded ones? I even see non-branded ones going for 200+... Has me amazed. Anyway, would like to hear your opinions. Thanks for any information! They might look good in a photo but up close there could be imperfections. Other potential issues would include incomplete glazing, uneven glazing, grit in the glaze, the glaze may even crack with time like an old plate? At least with a reputable brand purchased in Australia you would have some sort of come back with the manufacturer if there were issues. On the other hand - for $20 a pop it could well be worth the gamble!
