Bidets

I went to see a doctor the other day. Had my first prostate check. :shock:

The doc was a bit of a character. Quite loud and unorthodox, you might say. Started talking unashamedly about 'anal' matters and such. He reckons that toilet paper is not good for our 'anatomy'. He says that the French have got it right, and that bidets are the way to go.

So, who has a bidet, and do you use it? Is it kinder on your private parts?

Just wondering what experiences people have had. :?:

Only came across bidets when I was backpacking in Europe. Most hotel keepers took the time to explain that they were not for relieving one's self - obviously too much experience with drunk/ignornt tourists!
I think there is one in the lime green bathroom that Michelle posted recently.

Having used squats in Asia for a few weeks at a time, and time in Europe, I'd say the docs advice is certainly - ahh - shall we say - a better option for your posterier.

I think they are only a better option for blokes!
Although I was on a Greek ferry once and in my naivete I couldn't understand how some women managed to have such a quick shower!

Later learned my lesson in Egypt!

, Although a drinking fountain for short people would be handy, for short people of course. But you would hope they knock before coming in and expecting it to be free....... :shock:

I have seen toilets unit which have built in "water washing nossle/hole" in the past. This is for washing the *** after defecating. Anyone knows where to get this thing? Really need to get this because my a** is quite sensitive with toilet paper, even the softest one would sometime do harm.

I’m at a loss for words……AND THAT doesn’t happen very often!!!!!

I’ve always had a problem about using one….to me if you get that wet from flushing that you need to use a special towel for the drying process, I’d rather have a shower after the nasty business! :shock:
