Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 25, 2010 8:57 pm I have a small main bathroom (2.8 x 2m). The bath is placed along the short wall with the vanity across the long wall (with the shower on the other end of the long wall). Will it look better if I extend the vanity benchtop across the bath or stop it just before the bath? I have ordered a long bath (1800mm long) so if I extend the vanity benchtop, it will overhang the bath by 100mm. Should I then change to a shorter bath? Re: Vanity across bath? 2May 07, 2010 9:15 pm An overhang is fine I think!! You can taper it in if you are worried, but extra bench space can't be a negative! We nearly did this on our reno a few years ago but ended up going with a shorter bath and a tiled the end which created shelf space anyway. Thanks for clarifying.
