Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 21, 2010 6:55 pm Hi all, Please excuse my ignorance, I have recently bought a place know very little about 'renos'. I hope this forum will give me a little help. I want to buy a new vanity. I have included a picture so you can see my current vanity. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Most of the vanities I have been looking at have one tap in the actual vanity - my current one has a 3 way system coming from the wall - obviously I would need to buy new tiles. What kind of company is able to install my new vanity and replace the tiles on the 'splashback' (??). My current vanity is a wall hung vanity although I don't mind installing one with 'legs' (prefer wall hung). What sort of cost is involved for a tradesmen to complete this sort of job (removing old vanity - installing new one and any tiling if need to + whatever I am missing). Thanks for your help and understanding on what is probably a very simple question for some. Re: New Vanity - Who will install it? Rough price? Help :) 2Apr 21, 2010 11:15 pm You won't necessarily have to retile - it depends entirely on the taps you want. There are modern taps that are sited in the splashback, just as your current ones are. If you want a mixer or taps that are set into the basin, then yes, you'll have to do some retiling. Have a good look at some plumbing/bathroom showrooms to see what's available and ask for some brichures to take home so you can take some time to think about exactly what you want. You'll need a plumber to install your vanity - at least to do the waste connection, and possibly relocate taps if that's what you decide to do. Re: New Vanity - Who will install it? Rough price? Help :) 4Apr 26, 2010 12:06 pm You need a plumber to install it. It should cost you about $650 for a plumber to supply and fit a basic vanity including basic tap ware. The better quality vanity and tap ware, the higher the price. Transform your bathroom into a sanctuary of calm and sophistication with Hera Bathware's Bathroom Vanity Collection.
