Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 17, 2010 10:46 pm We are having a freestanding bath in our ensuite and are not having a wall on the side that the bath sits, after discussions with our builder last night we may have to put a short wall in due to waterproofing, he thought it was 1mtr beyond the bath but wasn't sure. I have searched all afternoon and all I could find was a training coarse booklet that talked about the building code requires waterproofing 1.5mtrs out from the shower head on an unscreened shower. If that was the case, and we had a floor mounted bath spout would it be from the nozzle of the spout or is it another rule??? Does anybody know, I really don't want a wall but I'm not sure we can move the bath in any more than probably 500mm ____________________________ Bec ____________________________ Building our Balinese Resort Inspired Dream Home Blog ~ http://hagarshouse.blogspot.com/ DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Grind texture and paint off at blister up to top of fence Will see damp cement render 5 6268 Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
