We are currently renovating an old house, when we install our new bathroom rail it will definitely be running from a standard gpo. I have had experience with a Scope swing out unit that spread its casing at the end plug exposing the internal element , and that was purely through careful use with no more than the weight of two large towels. I can imagine what may happen to one of those units if exposed to bored kids using it as a swing! I prefer electrical appliances to be easily isolated, the problem if you don't is you have to isolate everything on the cct if there is a problem, and then try to troubleshoot... which is a proper pain.
