Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 15, 2010 5:05 pm Hi all! We had our colour appointment yesterday and our consultant was fairly hopeless so I am going to have to go back and confirm a few things. We have chosed this rectangular brown tile for our wall tiles, I really wanted something darker around the bath and on the shower walls instead of having a feature tile per say. I think these will look ok around the bath but I am now unsure about them being in the shower. I have seen a photo of the same type of style on the DFH website and think they look ok, but would love to see a photo if anyone else has done the same kind of thing Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's the one at the back - I'm not one hundred per cent sure of the size, but hopefully this will give you an idea of what I mean Bek I'm back Re: Has anyone used smaller rectangle tiles in their shower? 2Feb 16, 2010 8:37 am i saw a photo of a lovely shower on here using the same size tile but lighter I think... i think it might be nightshade?? do a search in the new building forum... They look really good I think. We are having polished porcelain but if I were using ceramics, I wouldnt hesitate to use them after seeing that photo! Re: Has anyone used smaller rectangle tiles in their shower? 3Feb 16, 2010 8:38 am P.S I love lustrous elm... I wanted it in my bathrooms but my partner doesnt, so its burnished wood in bathrooms and lustrous elm in the laundry. If we are getting cabinets in our bbq area (which im not sure on), Im using lustrous elm if we are allowed laminex outside. Re: Has anyone used smaller rectangle tiles in their shower? 5Feb 16, 2010 3:30 pm We have Lustrous Elm in our main ensuite - I love it. That tile is stunning - what colour grout are you using and how is it being laid? ie subway / brick etc. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Has anyone used smaller rectangle tiles in their shower? 6Feb 16, 2010 7:20 pm Ms Builder Ms Builder, these look to be exactly the same or at least very close! Thank you so much. I feel much better about them now, they look fab in that bathroom. I like the idea of having a darker colour as the feature rather than an actual feature tile. Ms Builder P.S I love lustrous elm... The Colour Consultant really tried to talk us out of it so I am really glad that we stuck with it. The more I look at it, the more I like it too! We are having burnished wood in our kitchen and laundry so sounds like we may have some similar tastes Thanks again for the pics Bek I'm back Re: Has anyone used smaller rectangle tiles in their shower? 7Feb 16, 2010 7:24 pm kyton We have Lustrous Elm in our main ensuite - I love it. I'm glad to hear of others that have it in their bathroom and love it I really love that tile for the shower too, especially after seeing that photo of it above. Our grout is misty grey, but it looked more white when I saw it, just looked up the name for it now. My contract says they will be laid horizontal and stached?? Do you think that is meant to be stacked? I hope so as I would like them one on top of the other, not like bricks Might have to confirm this! Bek I'm back As title suggests, looking at using the interlocking Pentablock stacked stone products to replace failing timber retaining… 0 17867 Iām loving the potential versatility and practicality of a bench seat in a shower. Anyone had one of these done recently? Not sure if they are straight forward and easy… 0 762 Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13588 |
