We are building a new house - still in the design phase - and we are gettign very close to the final design.
Upstairs we have our ensuite, which is quite big with bath, double vanity, shower and toilet. There is a powder room to service the upstairs living.
The problem is downstairs. Due to the nature of the block there is a section of the house with no window. They originally put the bathroom there, with the laundry and storage off the rumpus room which leads into the backyard. We had this swapped as we did not want a bathroom without a window, but now the only downstairs toilet is off the rumpus room...
Should we add another toilet in the laundry to afford people some privacy? Do you think this is necessary. That will be 4 toilets in a 3br plus study house...
I know it's all a bit hard to picture, and I don't have plans on the computer, but I guess the main point here is:
Is having a toilet off a living area a problem??? Would you add an extra toilet to avoid embarrassing situations??
The main living is upstairs - we envisage the rumpus being used as a playroom and later for teenage socialising.
Any suggestions appreciated...
