Re: Shampoo niches - construction/progress pics? 12Feb 02, 2010 9:55 am kek It's only an extra 9cm, not 90....look at it on a ruler, it's hardly anything. You seem to have plenty of room in your ensuite, and I think you could squeeze one into the bathroom too, if you make it a bit narrower. It will depend where the taps are going too. Ours are all 180mm deep (that's frame size - it's a bit less with the Gyprock on), which is the width of two pieces of framing timber, but you can go skinnier than that. Some builders do them within a single stud wall... I can fit quite large vases in ours - in a shower niche, you only need it wide enough for shampoo bottles and soap etc. Whatever size they are, just remember that when you plaster, then tile over the surfaces, you lose space, so factor that into the dimensions. Oooops. I stuffed up my cm and mm Our wall frames are 75mm so a double wall will be 150mm. Will need to measure my 1.5L bottles to see how thick they are. *Fingers crossed* 8 6138 5 6812 Can you give advice on how to get missing certificates needed for a form 21? Our bank requires us to provide one but we are missing 4 building certificates from our first… 3 71807 |
