Anything less than that wouldn't be ideal. Re: Ensuite Shower Width 5Jan 30, 2010 8:35 pm Each of the minor bedrooms in my house has 760 mm wide showers. They are however 1324 mm in the other dimension and are walk in (that is, no door). This was by design. A lot of thought went into those dimensions and I think they will work fine. More is obviously better, but anything over 800 mm if you have a long length in the other direction is not really necessary. Even the 900 x 900 mm standard showers often have the corner cutout which effectively makes them less than 800 m wide where you are standing. Re: Ensuite Shower Width 10Jan 30, 2010 9:27 pm I have been in a 900 wide shower and it was fine. 1m is ideal imo, I will be having 1m x 1m in all showers apart from ensuite which is double shower. Our new place will have an even larger one in the ensuite but I think the bathroom is still roughly the standard 900 by 900 Bek I'm back Re: Ensuite Shower Width 12Jan 30, 2010 10:05 pm Hmm yes I know what you mean Echo.. we have a 900mm width, but we have a brick hob in there which butts up to the vanity, making the actual size smaller I thought it felt small when I saw it Built with New Generation (Summit Homes) We own land!... with a slab on it! Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! Re: Ensuite Shower Width 13Jan 30, 2010 10:24 pm Candylea Hmm yes I know what you mean Echo.. we have a 900mm width, but we have a brick hob in there which butts up to the vanity, making the actual size smaller I thought it felt small when I saw it OK, so all is not lost. My build leans toward the medium/heavy side, so if I dont spread my elbows too much I will be OK. And anyone doing the chicken dance on a wet surface first thing in the morning deserves to get hurt. They were both fine. The kids' shower here is 900 x 900 and even my eldest, who's a big fella, has no problems with it. I am feeling some relief. For the past 14 years I have had the pleasure of my shower being over a spa bath ( 1600 x 1600 mm ) . 900mm seemed a little small , but all is good.
