Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Bathroom renovation costs 4Oct 28, 2010 9:18 pm grinder stecam1 I have a 2.5 x 1.5m small bathroom I'd like to renovate. Could someone tell me how much a plumber and tiler independently would charge? I'd basically be looking to replace the tiles and all bathroom appliances with new ones. A plumber quoted me $680 for all labour not including the shower which would be $750 (parts and labour). Is that good? How much would a tiler be? Can anyone recommend a good tiler in Sydney? Thanks The plumber is about right although the tiler I am not sure most will quote you sqaure metre plus tiles you choose and buy yourself. So take $100 a sq metre as a guide for a tiler though it could be as low as $50 but please consider their experience the type of tiles to be handled by him. I agree, we did a 2 x 2m bathroom with floor to ceiling tiles and it all added up to about $8k. I had a nightmare of a time with the plumber... all he had to do was move a tap and fix new fittings and he took 4 weeks... it was rediculous. The tiler did an amazing job and cost $3kish. Buying the taps, new bath, vanity and mirror was about $1k. I told my sister to go through a bathroom company with hers to save the hassel and hers was done in 3 weeks!! mine took 8 weeks! and we had to gut it out.
