Hi all, as you can see by the attached picture I have had a serious shower recess accident.
The old "cleaning the recessed ceramic soap holder when it falls off" trick...
No problem, methinks, I'll just nip out and get a new one, a few dollops of the appropriate adhesive/grout and it'll be like new...
Ok, so no one makes or sells these things any more, sheesh.
I have determined that they were made by BFD Bathroom Accessories who shut down years ago, the moulds were bought by a company who subsequently decided to go out of the ceramic recessed soap holder business...
A nice chap from a tiling place has advised me to do the rounds of tiling places with the hope that they might have some old stock - I have tried a dozen or so places with no luck.
I was wondering if some one in their travels have stumbled upon a tiling place that specialised in old stock perchance? Preferably in Sydney, but I am desperate enough to pay for freight if necessary.
Better still, if any one had one they no longer need? Possibly due to bathroom renovation...
Has any one had any experience with having a ceramic accessory made as a special by, say, a pottery place?
Any advice (new bathroom not possible) welcome.
Cheers,
Gary
