Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 08, 2010 9:02 am Hi Homeoners, I've spent the last few days reading through the wealth of information in this forum and now I'm hoping someone can help me. My hubby & I are building our own design with Adelaide Designer Homes in SA. Despite the fact that this is our second build it's the first time we've had to do the selections, which I was looking forward to but am finding it far more stressful than enjoyable! We both like Duropal "Jurrasic Marble" for our bathroom & ensuite benchtops and hubby has chosen a tile he thinks goes perfectly. My question is do you think these tiles will look okay with the Jurrasic Marble Bench Top? And what colour cupboard should we do? http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz318/MissyMc7/Tiles.jpg Re: What colour cupboards with these tiles and bench top? 2Jan 10, 2010 5:55 pm Hi! Well i'm no expert and I'm only starting with my colour selections but I think it would go well..... and my opinion on cupboards.....I say pick a DARK colour out the colours in the benchtop and go with that. Contrasting looks GREAT if you like that kind of thing of course. hope that can help a little.....or a least it's an idea. In my opinion which is prob completely incorrent i think that the benchtop and tiles might be a little to matchy matchy. If i was having those tiles i would go for a flat coloured bench and cupboards. Maybe a darker colour benchtop that the cupboards. Good luck with it all! Re: What colour cupboards with these tiles and bench top? 4Jan 16, 2010 1:14 pm I agree with all the sand. I would go maybe a white style benchtop with a darker colour cupboards, a colour maybe you can see in the tiles in real life. I like the contrasting look though, so you might not. I think the benchtop and tile may clash a bit, if you cant get an exact match you are better off going for something different (well thats just what I think anyway). Re: What colour cupboards with these tiles and bench top? 5Jan 17, 2010 10:11 pm I agree with all the above. The tiles and benchtop in similar style may be too much (for me anyway). If you love the benchtop then I would pick a flat dark colour for the tiles and go with a lighter cupboard that matches. Building Standards; Getting It Right!
