Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 04, 2010 7:23 pm Does anyone know of anybody in WA (or even Aus with transport) that does prefabricated showers? I am looking for the one piece ones... have searched using every search word I can think of but just don't seem to come up with any? We will be looking at buying some for a small farmstay type situation (figure they are easier to clean ) Has anyone used these before? Just wondering on durability and them still looking okay in say 5 years down the track! Re: Prefab shower cubicles? 2Jan 04, 2010 7:43 pm As a left field suggestion I'd suggest contacting someone who makes prefabricated park cabins, granny flats, etc as they generally have fully self contained shower recesses. And you may want to search on "bathroom shower enclosures"...seems to be the best tag in google for what you are after e.g. http://www.farleysbathrooms.com.au/defa ... As for WA, I can only assume any of your local plumbing supplies stores can access these for you. However your flat pack type acrylic enclosures are cheaper, and are just as easy to clean. Also see the marbletrend website (marbletrend.com.au), or another range is called Baseline by Artemis (but their website is having a facelift I see). Acrylic will also look better in 5 years. If its starting to look a little dull, give it a polish with some car polish. Fibreglass (moulded enclosures) have a gel coat, so if that wears away they look very tired and can't be polished. I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
