Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Dec 18, 2009 4:53 pm I am thinking of using tiles similar to these and would love to hear from anyone who has used similar colour (and/or shape/size) tiles. I am also thinking of matching the wall and floor tiles like in these photos. Has anyone done the same and would you mind sharing your photos?
Finally, what do you think of these tiles: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Has anyone used similar bathroom tiles to these? 2Dec 18, 2009 4:56 pm Re: Has anyone used similar bathroom tiles? Also, what finish are they, polished or matt? netadelle Re: Has anyone used similar bathroom tiles? [PICS] 7Dec 20, 2009 8:37 pm gettingThere WOW! Your friend's bathroom looks amazing! Will you be using the same tiles? May I ask what the name of the tiles your friend used is? Also, what finish are they, polished or matt? I know, I loved there bathroom! Unfortunately I had already made all my selections before seeing it! We are having a grey tile. It was a matt tile, they bought the house like that, he said he walked in to the ensuite bathroom and literally signed for the house right there and then. Re: Has anyone used similar bathroom tiles? [PICS] 8Dec 20, 2009 8:55 pm Hey, excellent choice and good taste! They are a pretty classic look, the travertine look tiles. True travertine is beautiful, yet in showers may not be that suitable. But travertine look porcelain glazed tiles with a rectified edge will give you a beautiful finish that is easy to care for. With rectified tiles, have fairly narrow grout joints, and have the grout colour sealed (OR have epoxy grout) for best finished results. I can send you pics of an ensuite I colour-sealed with these type of tiles if you like. Ash. Re: Has anyone used similar bathroom tiles? [PICS] 9Dec 20, 2009 9:14 pm I love those tiles. I asked my builder and they would not install them. 300x300 is the standard, ceramic tiles only. Limestone colour scheme I choose. No porcelain or travertine, or cutting to install them. If I was building a premium house or had to do a renovation I would install tavertine wall to wall in the bathrooms as per the gallery pictures. I have choosen Alexander white porcelain tiles french laid pattern, for all the main living areas. To be laid after handover. Re: Has anyone used similar bathroom tiles? [PICS] 10Dec 20, 2009 9:24 pm LOVE travetine and limestone even more but WAY out of my budget. [PICS] 13Dec 22, 2009 8:24 pm Hi Getting There I have used almost the exact same tiles as in your first pics....ceiling to floor. They are absolutely beautiful on their own because every tile has a slight colour and pattern variation to it which makes it interesting. They are beautiful and probably one of the best colour choices I made as it took months to hunt down the exact tile I was looking for. Here are some pics...if you need more I will try but photobucket is sooooo slow atm. hope this is what you are after.
