Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Dec 08, 2009 1:53 am Hi I have just started my bathroom renovations for my bathroom and the toilet and found very little information on the prices of vanities, toilet suites and tiles. Just thought I will post something based on my own experience, hopefully it will be useful to those who are looking too. Tiles: Bunnings- not much choices and not that cheap too, the biggest collection we found was at Cockburne Central. Crosby- Competitive pricing, wide collection(Osbourne Park) Ceramic Wholesale: reasonable range, lots of clearance tiles, not for big areas, enough prob for toilets and bathroom, clearance range from $10 to $15 per sqm.(Osbourne Park) Ceramic Tile Centre- Good collection, not cheap though.(Osbourne Park) The Tile Shed-Big collection (Osbourne Park) Vanity: The Bathroom Warehouse- quite a good collection, good offers on vanities, we got ours at $300 for a granite top and a square sink, not much shower screens(pricey) and toilet suites. Bunning: Not much choices but cheap McMahon Auctioneers: Big collection of vanities and shower screen, we pick up a 750x1000 shower screen for $416, semiframed and with sliding door. They have a website with the stuff available. Taps- we got ours really cheap from Bunning, some of them are having clearance, we bought a shower set for $10, a square tap that was selling for $20, with the hoses missing but we can get them separately, cost us only $1 each. The gentleman at trade desk found me a nice kitchen tap for $50 which cost $159 normally. The other places we looked was Salvage yards, we bought a brand new double sink for our kitchen for $80, they have some new ones there, also they sell toilets, brand new ones, u have to look thru the collection to find the cistern to match the toilet, cistern and toilet is $40 each, $120 is a complete set with the pipes and all, we end up not getting it cos too much work looking thru. Toilet suite- looked at Bunnings, Bathroom warehouse(only 3), McMahon(only 2), bought one from ebay, collected from the warehouse, fully ceramic and water efficient for $149. I do not work for any of the above, just want to share my experiences, hope I did not violate any rules of this forum. Good luck WIll post up some pictures of the completed bathroom when it's done. Cheers C I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11252 Tradie may sit at home but will need to get house plastered as well or will you sit it out? 6 9963 |
